General Information

Inspired by ancient media from Japan, Varitek are advanced Battlesuits that can transform into high speed Fighters to more effectively participate and aerial combat. They can be built by a Level 5 Military Base or a Level 5 Shipyard.

Contrary to widespread rumors among the civilian population, Varitek are not capable of interlocking with one another to form a large robot. Military experiments performed early in the program found that such configurations placed unnecessary G-forces on pilots, particularly those stationed in the extremities.

Varitek don't outperform the Battlesuits or Fighters that they are meant to replace, but are highly valuable to commanders who can afford the cost of their bleeding edge tech. Being able to transform into Battlesuits in flight means that they can pivot in-flight at any speed, making it all but impossible for other craft to approach them without retaliation. This gives them a particular advantage against small craft.
